Dr. Eric Schmidt is Founding Partner of Innovation Endeavors and former CEO of Google. Before that, he led Novell as Chairman and CEO, following a 14-year tenure at Sun Microsystems where he rose to become CTO. With a career spanning four decades, the accomplished technologist has played key roles in everything from developing software at Xerox PARC to transforming Google into a global tech giant. As a public servant, Eric chaired the US National Security Commission on AI and the Department of Defense's Innovation Board. Today, Dr. Schmidt has become an outspoken advocate for AI's role in national competitiveness and chairs the Special Competitive Studies Project. With his philanthropic initiatives like Schmidt Futures and Schmidt Sciences, he's aiming to drive innovation at the intersection of technology, scientific research, and societal impact. Dr. Schmidt earned his B.S. degree from Princeton University and a PhD from the University of California-Berkeley in computer science.
